YFood Tech Week London: Voting with their Forks
The Jetty was the perfect setting for a celebration of food technology’s growth and vitality at Y Food’s Tech Week festival. Wanting to investigate the trends reshaping contemporary cuisine, Venue Lab’s levitating greenhouse venue made for a memorable incubator of Y Food’s fresh ideas.
A floating experience
The food industry is experiencing a great revolution. Through technological innovation, new models are transforming the stories on our plates. Think-tank Y Food wanted to explore how technology is mutating everything. For an agenda titled ‘Voting with their Forks’, The Jetty’s floating fusion of luscious vegetation and river views made the perfect backdrop to the day's topical discussions.
With 200 food industry professionals in attendance, the Venue Lab team ensured no detail of the B2B conference was overlooked. From breakfast through to an evening cocktail reception, The Jetty’s flexible space provided ample adaptability. As part of The Vibration Group, Venue Lab’s close relationship with some of the event industry’s leading suppliers enabled them to provide a full-service approach to delivering the event, including all set-build and production for the presentation space, networking and 1:1 environment. Venue Lab additionally arranged an al fresco drinks reception area.
Top networking opportunities
The day began with panel talks on the New Definition of Good Business with speakers including Darren Henaghan, Managing Director at Borough Market and Joanna De Koning, Head of Corporate Communications at Just Eat. Bringing together a community passionate about the future of food, group networking lead to lunch with some of London’s leading change-makers. Venue Lab installed temporary bar and kitchen equipment so that all could dine on the innovations of the future.
By afternoon, it was time for The Disruptors to discuss how sustainability can be implemented at every level of a business. Venue Lab coordinated with Y Food to provide full-service event management, including set build and production, all-day staffing, health and safety consultancy and highly-trained security personnel.
Bespoke Cocktails at Nightfall
By nightfall guests were ready to enjoy the fruits of a productive day of discussions, sipping bespoke cocktails in The Jetty’s tranquil sanctuary.
